Under 16?

If you are aged between 13 and 15 you can still get free condoms at some of the C Card venues. Check the Under 16 venues in our where to get them section carefully as not all venues are able to provide condoms to you if you are under 16.

This is because we can only give free condoms to you under the age of 16 if our workers believe that you are not at risk of serious harm or abuse and are capable of understanding how condoms work. So if you are between 13 and 15 you will need to have a short, private and discreet discussion with a worker every time you come to collect free condoms. All our staff are friendly and welcoming and will keep your confidentiality unless they think you are at serious risk of harm.

The law says that you are not allowed to have sex under the age of 16. However some young people start sexual relationships before they are 16, or want to try out condoms on their own to see what they’re like.
